Regardless of these factors, however, it remains your responsibility to keep the water in it as clean as possible for your Koi. Regularly skimming your pond for dirt and unwanted matter will keep your Koi healthy and stress free. Fish that are always stressed are more likely to get sick as opposed to fish that are not stressed and live in clean water.
