You should ensure that you have at least a 15 pound fishing line and a rod and reel that can accommodate this weight as well. It is important to understand that when you fish for silver salmon, you may end up catching a rather large fish. It is important to consider the fact that you will be fishing for silver salmon in rough and choppy waters, so you will want to pursue a rod and reel that will be up to the challenges that you will face.

When it comes to placing weights on your fishing lines, you will want to use quite a few.
